Veterans Day
Activities
Today's Snack: Take a handful of rinsed blueberries, a handful of
rinsed strawberries cut into 1/8ths,
and a spray can of Redi-Whip topping and get a paper plate ready. Line up the
blueberries to make the blue "field" of the American flag. Then line up your
1/8ths of red strawberries in "stripes" around the "field." Finally, and
carefully, spray the white "stripes" between the red ones with the Redi-Whip.
Have an adult help you spray some "stars" on the blue "field" of blueberries,
but you'll never get all 50 stars on there. Be happy with four or five! Now eat
and enjoy. God bless our veterans for defending this flag and our country, and
God bless America!

A heartfelt salute to the
millions of America's military veterans and currently deployed troops at home
and abroad as we mark Veterans Day every year on Nov. 11, with parades and
such.
We
say:
THANK YOU!!!
To
understand the most serious thing in the world - war - we turn to a rather
unusual topic: military humor.
Students
and adults alike may learn a lot about the military lifestyle and what it means
to go through battles and military service from these funny and rather telling
statements, a takeoff on "Murphy's Laws" - "anything that can go wrong, will."
